''Them!'' (1954)

  The ultimate in cheesy American Horror Sci-Fi Classic films from the 1950s, this B -Movie from 1954 - Them! too, cashed in on the Atomic fears of the Country. In this outing, Them are Ants. Not your normal Black Desert Ants, these have been mutated by constant Atomic Bomb Tests. A Nest of them (now 8-feet tall and 25-feet long), are wandering the Deserts of Arizona and New Mexico (of course looking for food with humans and cattle at the top of their list!). Getting too close will give you radiation poisoning. Creating a massive Ant Hill , our Ants decide to use connective sewers to travel to the outskirts of Los Angeles (and establish a new Hive ). A group of intrepid Scientists and 2 New Mexico State Policemen are able to convince the US Army of their intentions. Flamethrowers (a 1950s MUST for Monster Killing ), are brought to bear against our Ants . Burning the massive insects up, our Group take on the Hill and the large Ant Eggs that the fried Adults left behind. Did they destroy them all.
