Although not ‘’nicknamed’’ – The ‘’Yukon Beaver Eater’’, is said to be a previously unknown Mammal, found only in Canada’s Yukon Territory. The massive Beast, said to weigh as much as 200-lbs. and able to stand on it’s hind legs to an impressive 8-feet tall, was ‘’last seen’’ by local Natives (Inuit) in the early 1990s. Hard to find, the Creature is best described as a type of Sloth. But unlike it’s (possible) plant eating Cousin, The ‘’Beaver Eater’’ does just that – consumes the river dwelling Mammal. The ‘’Beaver Eater is said to be strong enough to swim t a Beaver Den (made of wooden branches and quite large in and of themselves), and with a swat of it’s massive paws, up end the structure – revealing it’s ‘’next meal’’. In reality, many Cryptozoologists believe that perhaps The ‘’Beaver Eater’’ is a ‘’living fossil’’. The last fossilized record in the region shows a type of Creature having lived 60,000 years prior (before going extinct). Perhaps ‘’The Beaver Eater’’ is a direct or still surviving version of that prehistoric animal. No photographs have been forthcoming, so it’s existence is still speculated at.
