Worstead Church is located in Worstead, Norfolk, England. An old Village mentioned in the early Middle Ages Domesday Book, it is seeped in history.....and Ghost stories! A popular tale, is that of the Church Ghost. Without a clear identity, the "woman" seen is said to have been a Parishioner from the 1830s. It is said that she still provides "comfort" to those in need. This was made ever so evident by a 1975 photograph. A "current" Parishioner had stopped in the Church to pray for a friend. Her husband took a photo for memory sake. When he developed it, he thought that the film had a defect in it. However, when he enlarged the print, he saw the clear image of a bonneted woman who appeared dressed in 19th Century attire. The image appeared to be comforting his praying wife! When the couple showed the photo to the Parish Priest, he related that the Entity had been felt often providing solace to those in need. It is assumed that "she" still does.
