The Westall Incident

This Landing incident happened in Melbourne, Australia on April 6, 1966. The incident lasted over 20-minutes and was witnessed by over 200 Students and several Adult Teachers of The Westall School. At 11 A.M. On that morning, a group of Students had just finished playing sports in the School's Athletic Field. Suddenly 2 large silvery, saucer-shaped Objects began to descend onto the field. They both gave off a Purplish glow . The vehicles were said to be twice the size of an average car . The two Crafts came to within 6-inches of the ground and simply hovered there. Several of thee more adventurous Students approached the Crafts (withing 6-feet). No one touched the Objects. They were emitting a low hum . After 20-minutes, the 2 Craft began to ascend slowing up into the air (until they were well over a local electric Power Tower). The Objects then began to pick up speed (but not fast), moving off to the Northeast (and out of view). The Government never officially investigate the report (although several private UFO Investigation Groups did interview all persons who witnessed the incident). The Government's only statement was that they had no aircraft operating in the area. The ground where the 2 Craft landed was not burnt and had no unusual amounts of radiation present. To this day Reunions are held every 10 years to commemorate the encounter .
