A well known paranormal Case from 1989, The ''Well To Hell'' story has as many skeptics and it does believers. Most do cite it as a Hoax, but the Case does raise some questions, even today. As the ''tale'' goes, a Groups of (then) Soviet Engineers were drilling for oil and minerals in Siberia. Around 9 to 10-miles down, The Group determined that the temperature at that depth well exceeded 1,800 degrees of heat. This was seen as very unusual. The Group pulled back from their operations and lowered a special microphone (designed to withstand even active volcanic heat). What was ''heard'' was the sounds of ''thousands of people screaming in agony''. In other words, The Group had literally ''bored thru to Hell!''.
The subsequent recording made it's ''rounds'' throughout The World and the ''story'' appeared on every Tabloid Newspaper as well. The Story was so popular that a well known Christian Television Broadcast Company claimed that it was ''evidence'' of ''eternal damnation'' (despite the fact that they did no real investigation into ''The Well''. Local Villages were investigated for any past or current evidence of ''paranormal activities'', with none found. In time, most felt that ''The Well To Hell'' was nothing more that a faked recording (some citing that is was actually a Movie Soundtrack from a 1960s Italian Horror Movie). However oddly, The ''Well'' was sealed with concrete per instructions of The Soviet Government. It had remained as such since. Urban Legends say that everyone associated with The Drilling have met with death and misery (but this too has been unable to be proven conclusively).
