This is a GREAT B -Movie Horror fare from 1959. Filmed in B&W, Wasp Woman was made to cash in on the success of 20th Century Fox's film The Fly . In this version, an aging head of a Cosmetic Firm pushes her Scientists to discover a new anti-aging formula (which would just start not only her Empire, but turn back the clocks for her). Using a strange formula taken from the body fluids of the Queen Wasp, out lady decides to become a guinea pig . After injecting herself with the formula, she begins to notice that she is in fact getting younger! However, the more formula she uses, the more she begins to thirst for human blood. The more she drinks, the more formula she requires. Eventually, a DNA mutation begins to take effect. Now the Lady is part Wasp (completed with compounded eyes and a long Mandible mouth with stinger . She uses this to paralyze her male prey (and consume them at her leisure). In the Lab, Wasp Woman has a face to face fight with the last surviving Scientist on her Staff. The Doc , throws acid into her face (destroying it). Stumbling into a large glass vat of real Wasps, she accidentally breaks the glass only to have our REAL Waspy friends attack her! Covered in Wasps, Wasp Woman stumbles out the window and falls to her death (25-stories below). No recognizable evidence of her is found.
