The Villisca Axe Murder House

No one to this day, is quite sure just who was responsible for the gruesome Axe murders of The JB Moore Family, on the night of June 9, 1912. Living in the small rural Town of Villisca, Iowa - nothing of this nature had ever happen before. However, if any one place is said to be "haunted", this THIS house is it! The entire Family was found brutally hacked to death. Mother, Father and 6 children of varying ages. Nothing was stolen and no evidence of break-in was found. Although several Suspects were brought in, all all had alibis. The Case remains unsolved. The house eventually was resold, but no one could live there. Reports of screams, "laughing" children, and spectral forms are seen quite regularly in the homes windows - are all common. The City eventually brought the property and turned in into a museum. All who visit it, report "Cold Spots" and feelings of dread.
