The Military had long been seeing and encountering strange things . Often shrouded in secrecy, Service Members are often sworn NOT to discuss ANYTHING they see (or hear). In most cases, they do. However, some do tell their stories as with this unusual encounter experienced aboard one of America's most famous Aircraft Carriers The John F. Kennedy ! The Kennedy was operating on routine sailing instructions in the Caribbean (and in a portion of the infamous Bermuda Triangle). As a massive Warship with close to 1,000 sailors assigned, The Kennedy was a force to be reckoned with in combat. On a normal night in May of 1971, (6 P.M.) - Communications began to pickup strange signals and Radar too began to register weird lights and unknown Objects .
As the below Decks Crew pondered these strange readings, BATTLE STATIONS was sounded!. Instantly the Crew responded to their pre-assigned locations for combat. Below Deck Crews began to hear Upper Deck men yelling and screaming about an Object . After about 1-hour, BATTLE STATIONS were terminated. The Crew began to talk among themselves. Those few Upper Deck Men who witnessed the encounter stated that a large Green glowing Ball suddenly appeared over the Flight Deck of The Kennedy . Suddenly, all Upper Deck electronic ceased to work. Two Alert Fighters (on Deck), would NOT launch. In fact, NO offensive/defensive weapons would work! The Ball hovered over the Flight Deck at roughly 100 feet! After several minutes, it simply shot up into Space . At that time, ALL electronics on the ship began to function normally again. It was said that Command began to frantically send messages to Washington D.C. and The Navy. Within hours, a helicopter landed with men in dark suits - on the Flight Deck of The Kennedy .
The next morning ALL Crewmen were reminded to be silent about ANYTHING that happened on board a US Warship. The story gets stranger......After many years, two ex-Sailors of The Kennedy (and who had experienced the encounter, one Upper Deck and one Lower Deck) met. Talking over old times , when the subject of that night was brought up, the Upper Deckman grew pale and said he did not want to talk about the incident - and warning his friend NOT to either . Officially, NOTHING happened to The Kennedy that night (safe an official log entry concerning electronic malfunctions ).
