Possibly no other case of Alien UFO sightings, Contact AND Abduction has received more press that The Travis Walton Case. Many books and films have been created (each with their own view of the incident). MANY have largely disputed Walton's story. Others, not so much. You be the judge as to what happened to Travis Walton. Here is his story......

On November 5, 1975 a then 22 year old Travis Walton lived in Snowflake, Arizona (US). Although not noted for it's large crop of forests, Arizona still had a moderate high tree-base in the Turkey Springs Mountains. Walton's Brother-in-Law, Mike Rogers owned a small Lumber and Clearing business. The Crew used for clearing trees included Travis, Mike and 3 other local friends. Mike had just received a lucrative Government contract to clear a section of pin trees in the upper regions of Turkey Springs. The Contract (if completed), would net each a tidy sum of money. The groups headed up to their work site (high in the mountains) and began to work.

At around 6 P.M. - the group had competed their day's work and were driving back to Snowflake. Travis said he noticed a strange Red glow well above the stand of Pine to the West. Fearing a Wildfire the group headed to that direction to investigate. They parked on an incline and walked up to the top of the clearing. It was there that they all saw it. It was NOT a wildfire, but what appeared to be a Golden colored Disc - hovering about 50 feet off the ground. They all commented on how the forest was as bright as daylight .

Wanting nothing further to do with the strange Object. Mike and the crew prepared to leave. Travis however got curious . He proceeded into the clearing ever closer. His friend yelled for him to come back. Just then, a strange beam of light was emitted from the Object. Travis was completely enveloped in the light. After several seconds in stunned silence, the group saw Walton rise into the air . Very scared, they ran back to their vehicle and drove to Town to get help. Telling The Police, they investigated the location. They found nothing unusual other than the fact that Walton was not their either. Turning the matter over to The State Police, an investigation was started. The State Police did NOT believe Rogers and the other Crew members story (thinking more along the lines of a fight which lead to the murder of Walton). The State Police interrogated the group mercilessly (even using Lie Detection equipment). In all cases, the evidence point to something happened - but it was not murder. The Case began to make local and National News regarding the disappearance of Walton. Searches were conducted of the upper mountains (dog teams and aircraft). Huge sums of money were spent over that week. No Travis, no body.....no answers. Many still felt that Rogers and his Team had something to do with Travis's disappearance.

After 5 days, Travis Walton made his presence known. Calling his sister (Roger's Wife), he stated that he was in Town at a payphone. He had no idea how he had gotten there (claiming to only remembering the Wildfire). Found naked and mentally disturbed., Travis was taken to the local Hospital. The State Police were notified. Travis was examined and found to have strange marks and bruises all over his body. Further it was determined, Travis was suffering from amnesia. He had no recollection of the last 5 days of his life! Taken home he slowly regained his health. He was interviewed bu The State Police (who by now were looking at filing charges for filing a false Police Report as well as perpetrating a hoax ). Suffering from nightmares and extremely painful headaches Walton sought Psychological treatment. Asked if he could be hypnotized (to which he agreed), Walton told a story that some would feel was far-fetched . Travis stated (under hypnosis) that he was taken aboard an Alien Spacecraft. The Beings (best described as a form of Grays ), conducted numerous (and quite invasive), medical tests and experiments on him. Travis's visions were somewhat disjointed, but he was kept very much as a laboratory animal would be. Travis stated the tests were horrible. The Beings seemed not to mind if they were hurting Travis, only interested in their samples . Travis also said he noticed other personal articles (possibly belonging to other humans). While imprisoned , Travis stated that he saw what appeared to be the decomposed corpse of another human being (he assumed). Walton said that when the Beings were finished with him, they simply threw him out onto the ground - at the exact location he was taken from.

Travis's Polygraph examination determine that he was telling the truth as Travis saw it . This was determined to make the test inconclusive . Further, Doctor's could not explain several of the strange marks on his body. Some stated that the marks did appear to be consistent with some kind of examination (but none of them would swear to their statements). Also, Travis's blood test determined that he had a high level of enzymes in his system that were not consistent with someone who had not eaten for 5 days. State Police Officials noted that they felt Walton (and the others may have used counter measures to defeat The Polygraph Tests). That coupled with the fact that ALL the Crew Members of the Tree Clearance Team has some criminal record. All this went to motive for a faked story to create celebrity (and money).

Was Travis Walton taken and experimented on by Aliens Walton to this day (an Old Man), that the incident happened. Co-Author of the hugely successful book (and Movie), Fire In The Sky , Walton did state that the movie took some liberties, to make it more scary and interesting . He has written other books and articles for the UFO Community at large (and even still continues to appear at Conventions and Meetings) Worldwide.
