The 1959 Cult classic by American Film Producer and Showman William Castle. Castle was the Master of the B- Movie Horror and Thriller movie. Often using cheap stunts and theater effects that allowed the audience to participate with the movie Castle derived his skills from his Carnival showman days. Many of his movies had plausible endings (while the Supernatural was often blamed in the beginning). The Tingler was one of His classics. A Psychologist (Vincent Price), is trying to prove that Fear is a real and tangible thing that can manifest itself into a form of creature known as The Tingler. This worm-like creature feeds of fear. It wraps itself around the spine of it's victims. If one is scared to death, The Tingler MUST de-host and find a fresh victim. Coupled with Castle's other classic 13 Ghosts, The Tingler was a staple of Drive-In Movie scares.
