The Thule Society

Although it's earliest origins find such Organizations related to Paganism, in this form – The ''Thule Society'' was formed in Germany around 1918 (after World War I). It was composed of German Aristocracy and fall into the realm of ''Secret Societies''. The Thule (which traces it's word origins from The Germanic term for ''Antiquity''), had a ''Public Face'', which was geared at supporting the Historical aims of The National Socialist Party (NSDAP or Nazi) – in establishing that The Aryan Race was of direct German blood lines. This was seen as ''proving'' that Aryans were former ''Ancient Masters'' of all other ''non-Aryan Races''. Pseudoscience and faked artifacts were a common presentation for Thule Society and supporters. However, the Society had a much darker purpose. Many of the higher Practitioners became involved in ''Dark and Ancient Arts'', as a means of ''summoning'' such Power to aid them in their Political agenda. The use of ''Arcane Rituals'' (sacrifice, demonic summoning etc), were said to be very common practice in some circles of The Thule. ''Joining'' was seen as a must for most Officers in The Schultzstaffel (in all sub-sects). In addition to many practitioners of Alchemy, Thule Members were also associated with UFOlogy and ''Alien Contact''. However, as a means to distance Himself from it's often radicalism – Adolf Hitler abolished The Thule Society in 1939. However, various high-ranking SS Officers still ''maintained'' The Society and it's beliefs until the end of World War II.
