In Chinese (Daoist) Belief, the concept of ''The Three Corpses'' was related to the belief that Demons can and do inhabit Humans, causing disease and death. The concept is related to The Western Belief of ''Demonic Possession''. Normally, The ''Three Corpses'' (relating to the primary Energy Centers of The Human Body), assault The Chest, Head and Abdomen. It is only after death (if not treated), do the Demons leave – becoming 'wandering Spirits'' for all Eternity''. Thought to be ''invited'' by ''bad deeds'', seldom did Ancient Shamanistic Prayer work to remove them. Only by living an ''honest and good life'', could the average Human avoid ''The Corpses''.
