Often debated as to being a "Legendary" figure (possibly composed of three different historical personalities), IF Ragnar Lodbrok was an actual person - he held the Title of King (Son of King Sigurd Hring). He was infamous for his many raids into England and France (most notably The Sack of Paris in the 8th Century). His blade would have been a typical Viking weapon (perhaps slightly more decorated due to his position). The 3-foot Blade would have been seen as a ‘’great pride’’ and source of ‘’honor and glory’’ to Norsemen. His Blade would have been seen as the very ‘’spirit and ideal’’ of Viking Customs. When Ragnar was buried, His Blade would have been cremated with Him (in keeping with Norse Burial Customs).
