Built in 1912 to connect The California City of Pasadena to other nearby Cities, The Pasadena Bridge is one if the few surviving examples of late 19th and early 29th Century Bridge building architecture. Spanning the long ago diverted Secco-Arroyo River, it is 185-feet at it's apex. Starting at the outskirts of "Old Town", this is a portion of the original 1880s center of original Pasadena, which takes great pride in it's restored 19th Century buildings. However, The Bridge goes by a darker nickname by area Residents. "Suicide Bridge", as it is known (much to the disdain of City Officials), has been the scene of at least 20 known suicides. Since "The Great Depression" - that period in American History when it's financial stability dropped to almost insolvency, people have ended their lives tragically by throwing themselves off The Bridge.

Refusing to acknowledge these happenings, The City finally installed netting to stop the many deaths The Bridge seemed to attract. Even so, the last was in 2015. Some cite a Curse on the land by a long ago run off Native American Tribe, other simply a "bad feeling" many say they "feel" when crossing (especially if one "walks" The Bridge. One of the more tragic, was a 1960's death, in which a despondent Mother, clutching her Infant child, threw herself from The Bridge. Amazingly, nearby tree branches caught the child, saving it's life. The Mother however, was not so "lucky". Many say they see strange "Orbs" and "Shadow Figures" roaming The Bridge from time to time. To date, no one has been able to capture and image on film......yet.
