The STS-48 Incident

The NASA Space Shuttle Program was full of stories concerning sightings of strange Objects hovering over The Earth (and in some cases) NEAR The Shuttle. The STS-48 Mission Flight was no different. This is what they saw. On September 15, 1991, STS-48 was coming up on completing 81 days in orbit. It had been conducting experiments and deploying several Satellites. Crew Members noticed what appeared to be 3 glowing Balls , flying in formation above The Earth. The Mission Specialists all said that the Vehicles appeared to be controlled . Photographs were taken and the encounter (which lasted 20-minutes), was reported to NASA. Upon landing, NASA stated that the Craft were ice crystals . Somehow, the photos were leaked to The News (and made quite a stir briefly). It should be noted that all Missions Members were either experienced Military Pilots or Scientists.
