The Skipton Encounter

Police Officers are a good sources for stories of strange encounters . Two English Policemen lived up to that claim on December 12, 1978. Police Officers Dodd and Dale were patrolling in Skipton, North Yorkshire, England along the more distant Moor locations. The night was clear and quiet (as one would expect). At around 4:30 A.M. The Officers noticed a light approaching towards their location on the road. Thinking that it was a truck, they took no undue notice. However, as the light came closer, it was obvious that it was floating off the road . Withing minutes, an Object they described as a bright White glowing disc - floated over their location. They estimated that the Object was traveling at around 40 miles per hour. As the Object went over their Patrol Car, they noticed that the glow was more of a shield of some sort. They Officers noted what appeared to be port holes . They also saw what appeared to be a series of lights rotating around the perimeter of the Craft. The Craft made no effort to hide it's appearance and simply flew silently away. They Officers reported their encounter to their Superiors. No other reports from the Region are known.
