There are various ''camps'' when ''discussing'' The Legend of The Si-Te-Cah. From ''Pseudoscience'' to ''Conspiracy'' to flat out ''Hoax''. But some portions of this strange Tale are unusual. As always, YOU will have to be the outright Judge. Our story takes place in 1,200 BC, and is a Native American Paiute Tribal ''staple''. The Tribe has lived in The (now) State of Nevada for centuries. According to their Elders (which have told this story for Generations), The Tribe was invaded by a mysterious Race of Beings called (in their language), known as The ''Si-Te-Cah''. This translated to ''People Eaters''. These Beings were said to be ''10-feet tall, and covered (in part) – with Red Hair''. These ''people'' had a slightly more advanced knowledge of weaponry it seems as well. The Paiute state that The Si-Te-Cah lived in far Northern Mountains (hundreds of miles away from their Territory). ''Something'' happened to the Si-Te-Nay's food source, because the ''entire Race'', built ''reed-mat Boats'' and ''followed The Humbolt River'', down into Paiute ''Land''. These Beings soon began ''attack'' and later outright ''hunt'' The Paiute. It seems that the reason for their name ''People Eater'' was well deserved – for they trapped errant Paiute and ''ate them''. The is would lead to a War between the two Peoples. In time, The Paiute were successful in trapping the last of them in a Cave. The Paiute put large logs of wood in front of the only known entrance and lit the wood on fire. It was said that the resulting smoke (and lack of oxygen) – killed The Si-Te-Cah. Flash forward to 1911.......

The Si-Te-Cah ''Cave'' would be known to White Settlers of the Region as ''Lovelock Cave'' (19th Century). A Group of local Miners re-discovered The Cave and inspected it – finding a ''Gold Mine''. The Mine was neither ''Gold'' or a Mine, but it was a huge depository of Guano. Guano is Bat fecal matter, which (after building up for Centuries), calcifies. Almost pure Potassium Nitrate (which is the raw base foundation for Gunpowder), The Cave was indeed a ''huge payout'' for The Miners. As they excavated, they began to unearth tons of ''strange, large bones'' which appeared to be ''Human 8n appearance''. But how could they be? They were ''10-feet tall when cobbled together''. Further, hundreds of Skulls were found. But these Skulls were 2 to 3 times larger than a normal Human Head. Some of the skeletal matter even had small tufts of ''Red Hair'' still attached. And then came the reports of ''10-foot long, Mummies''....At any rate, much of these ''artifacts'' were gathered and placed outside The Cave. Local Natural History Museums were notified (as far away as California as well). Scientists gathered them up. There was even Newspaper Articles Nationally, as well. But oddly, within several weeks (it seems) the ''Tale dried up''. Flash Forward to the 1970s........

Self proclaimed ''Researcher and Historian'' Don Monroe would make friends with the Curator of The Humbolt County Museum. After discovering that they had a love for “”Native American Folklore'', The Curator decided to take Mr. Monroe into The Museum's Basement, to show Him ''something amazing''. The Curator ''showed an abnormally large Human Skull, thousands of years old – which had been excavated from ''a Cave'' locally''. Upon further inspection, The ''Skull'' appeared to have two rows of teeth! (not dissimilar fro a Shark, although not sharp). In short instead of 32 ''pearly whites'' – there were 64!. The Curator had to take an emergency phone call and left Mr. Monroe alone. He always carried a small disposable 35mm Camera with Him and He did was He did best.......He took a picture of the ''Skull''. Several years later, when Mr. Monroe (after much Research) – published a Book about the mysterious ''Si-Te-Nay'' and their ''Legend'', that permission was needed to publish the photo. The Humbolt Museum stated that there NEVER was any Skull...EVER. Then how would One explain His ''Photograph''? In fact, most Museums that listed ANYTHING gathered in The 1911 Excavations have either been ''misplaced'' or outright ''lost''. How could anyone misplace such an important piece of ''Earth Scattering'' History?

One Theory? Some state that The Si-Te-Cah were in fact ''Alien Survivors'', who had crashed and been forced to ''live among The Primitives''. Another, is that ''They'' would establish that the iconic Cryptid known as ''Bigfood'' (or Sasquatch if you prefer), was actually the ''direct descendant'' of the mysterious Si-Te-Cah. The ''Legend'' is (as said) – a staple among The Paiute even to this day. The Cave? Easily found and visited as a ''Historic Landmark'', which relates that it's ''inhabitants'' were really The Paiute. Unfortunately, THEY do NOT claim this, for THEY know the TRUTH......Perhaps?
