The Shield of Judas Maccabee

Judas Maccabee was a Jewish Priest and Revolutionary, who raised an Army to fight the occupying Seleucid (Persian) Army – which had won a victory over The Jews in 164 BC. Judas Maccabee was said to have been ‘’gifted’’ a Shield (Armor) by God. The Shield which when carried could resist any ‘’Arrow, Spear or other projectile, an Enemy would throw’’. The mythical Shield was handed down from ‘’priestly’’ generation to generation – along with The Ark of The Covenant. Sometime after The Ark was removed for protection in the 2nd Century AD – The Shield was also either lost or hidden as well. It is thought that IF the Shield is found and borne against an ‘’Enemy’’ of Israel – such an Enemy would be defeated.
