The last (7th in Series, actually) – of Hammer Films long running ‘’Dracula’’ Horror Movies – and possibly, the worst, ‘’The Satanic Rites of Dracula’’ was released in 1973. Reuniting Christopher Lee and Pete Cushing, the Movie was confusing to start with. Combining Dracula, with Sci-Fi and a ‘’James Bond’’ Secret Agent motif, did nothing to help a plodding script and sad farewell to Lee as The Immortal Count. The Plot centers around British Secret Service trying to stop a Devil Worship Cult from releasing a deadly virus on The World – all apparently orchestrated by a resurrected Count Dracula. Naturally ending with The World saved and Dracula turning to dust (again), Hammer could have done MUCH better in ending a long running Franchise which started in 1958. Re-titled in The US as ‘’Dracula and His Vampire Bride’’ as a means of fooling even more Fans, as stated – it is considered the worst of the Film Library.
