The mysterious and still unexplained Artifact was discovered in 1898 in Saqqara, Egypt. The Site, long puzzle to archaeologists, had yielded some amazing and baffling finds. The Artifact is called ‘’The Bird of Saqqara’’, dates to 200 BC. Made of wood, the odd thing is that the piece is completely aerodynamically ‘’sound’’ and is light enough to be thrown into the air to ‘’glide’’. What Ancient Child would have need of such a Toy? Or perhaps, as some claim, The ‘’Saqqara Bird’’ was never intended to be a Toy – but a functional Model, of a much larger ‘’Glider’’. Shaped like a Bird, perhaps the ‘’original’’ could carry Humans in flight……..(Perhaps…..)
