A legend of The San Pedro Mountains (California) and dating to 1932, the legend of The San Pedro Mummy deals with Gold Prospectors Cecil Mayne and Frank Carr. While Prospecting in The San Pedro Mountains (Southern California Desert), the pair found a strange and misshapen body in a Cave. The remains were only 4-foot tall and had a ''strangely shaped skull with wide eye sockets'' . The remains were perfectly air dried. preserved . Local Native American Tribes told a Centuries old tale of a Race of Small People who had come from The Skies to live in The San Pedro Mountains. Local tribes avoided The Mountains and ''The Little People'' . The remains were taken into Town where they were examined (even X-Rayed). Humanoid in appearance, some said that the body was that of a deformed human. However, without modern DNA Testing, no specific Race could be assigned to the remains. The remains were dated to around 1,700 years old. Eventually purchased by a Private Party in Wyoming. ''The San Pedro Mummy'' mysteriously vanished in 1979 in an apparent Home Robbery. A $10,000 Reward was offered, but only original photographs currently exist of the unusual Mummy .
