The Salt Lake City Encounter

Waldo Harris, a private Pilot -  close encounter on October 2, 1961 in the skies over Utah (US). Although this time the contact was not with another airplane, but a craft from out of this World. Harris had over 3,000 hours of Flight time logged and was fully rated . While on a routine flight on the day in question (around 10 A.M.) - Harris noticed a glare shining from the right side of his aircraft. He was operating around 10,000 feet and per Air Control there was no other flights in his area of flight. Turning his plane into the direction of the glare , Harris closed in. What he saw amazed him. He clearly viewed a Saucer shaped Object (which emitted a soft whitish Glow . Harris radioed his contact to Air Control (who stated that Harris was NOT in contact with anything). Harris stated that object remained flying in a straight path for several minutes, when it started to wobble . As Harris pulled back on his pursuit , the Object took off rapidly into the space ahead (and above of his plane) disappearing from sight. Harris noted the speed was astounding . Harris filed a report with The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Nothing more was said.
