Coast Guardsman Shell Alpert was a Photography Technician, working in his Photo Laboratory just outside of Salem, Massachusetts (US). It was July 7, 1952 and somewhat warm (for Massachusetts). Going over to the window of the Government rented Facility, he opened his window for some air. Alpert wasn't expecting to see a flight of 4 large glowing White, Egg-shaped Objects slowing flying over his position. Alpert (being a Photographer), grabbed his camera and took his famous shot. Unclear of what he had just shot, it was said that he told friends later that he had captured a groups of those UFOs everyone was talking about . Being a good soldier, he turned the photo over to The Government. Within 1 week, Alpert officially stated (to a local Newspaper hot on a story), that they were just unidentified lights, from something. (Apparently Alpert was told to have a change in story identification ). The photo was declassified MANY years later as a hoax done by Albert. (Or at least ENOUGH years had passed......)
