The Romanian Incident

1944 over German Occupied Romania. Soviet Heavy Bombers were on a Mission to attack German Oil Refinery Factories. This was an important Operation. (4) Soviet Bombers were detailed for The Mission. Enemy Flak would no doubt be ''thick''. Apparently, Flak shrapnel would not be the only thing in the sky that day. Something obviously ''Otherworldly''. As The Soviet Bomber approached their Target, their Planes began to act up. Gauges spun out of control, communications between the Aircraft was garbled and all The Formation began to ''shake and vibrate uncontrollably''. One Plane malfunctioning was understandable, The whole Flight  not so. Then The Pilots saw ''why''. Several thousand feet (it was estimated) above their position was what they described as a ''Large Bluish Disc'' flying ''with them''. The Disc appeared to have ''A Dome on The Top and Bottom''. The Object stayed with them form several minutes. The longer it remained, the harder it was for The Bombers to be controlled. The Lead Plane ordered The Formation to jettison all Ordnance. All Planes complied. The Craft ''shot straight up into the air'' at an ''incredible speed''. Still, The Planes were difficult to control (even with The Object gone). The Formation turned and flew back to their Base. 30-minutes after leaving the area, the effects on their Bombers simply stopped. Rather than admitting the ''Incident'', The Flight all agreed to say that they had completed their Mission and dropped their bombs. None would tell their Superiors of ''The Object''. The story would remain a closely guarded secret for many years.
