The Riverside Monster

From 1958 and The State of California (US), comes an interesting Tale about a lone Driver, a bridge…..and a Monster. The Driver lived in The City of Riverside, the a ''sleepy ‘burb''  South of Los Angeles. Coming Home from work, around 2 AM, The Man drove under an underpass, when He caught sight of ‘’something hunched down’’ in the shadows. Slowing, The Man saw the ‘’shadow begin to rise to a height of 8-feet’’. He noticed the ‘’Creature’’ (or whatever it was), had ‘’fur and scales’’. It had a ‘’Pumpkin-like’’ Head, and definitely – ‘’fangs’’ as it roared. The Beast ‘’reached out’’ as if to grab the slow moving vehicle, but the terrified Driver sped off and straight to a local Police Station. Naturally, The Police found nothing, and wondered to The Driver’s ‘’sobriety’’. But several weeks later, a similar encounter came of Oklahoma. So ‘’whatever’’ was seen, seems to migrate. The strange encounter was not reported again. What Did both Witnesses ‘’See’’?
