1958 was a ''rush'' Year for Horror Movie Makers. With the success of British Hammer Studios ''Horror of Dracula'' just about everybody began to film Vampire movies. United Artist Studios of The US was not passing on the idea either, with it's bad production of ''The Return of Dracula''. A modernized Dracula Story, Our Count (in Europe), kills and assumes the identity of an American Artist (Painter), and travels to America under that guise. Painting by Night and drinking the blood of His Subjects as well, the Black and White film was noted for it's single Technicolor ''blood scene'' – designed to produce ''shock'' effects. His identity eventually discovered, good old Sunlight becomes this Dracula's ultimate demise. Somewhat well acted for what it is, ''The Return of Dracula'' didn't make as much press or monies thought, due to Hammer's ''Horror of Dracula'' – in The US. The film slowly faded from overall view, but is worth a view.
