The Redlands Sighting

This Mass Witness sighting of a UFO, was reported over the somewhat rural countryside of Redlands, California (US) on February 4, 1968. Over 200 members of the City came out to see the strange Object which flew some 300 feet above the Town! Described as a Saucer-shaped Craft, it appeared to have a large, window to it's front . It also had about 8 to 10 red and green lights , rotating underneath it. It was speculated at 50 feet in diameter. Police, Fire even several Scientists (who lived in the Town) all saw this strange Object. After a 5-minute flyover (7:20 to 7:25 P.M.) - the Craft sailed off towards the mountains, and out of sight. Calls were made to 2 local US Air Force Bases. The first, Norton AFB stated that they were too far away for their Radar to have picked it up . The second, Edwards AFB claimed that the mountains would have blocked their signal . 150 (of the 200) witnesses drew sketches of what they saw.
