An ''extreme'' example of Literary ''Urban Legend'' – ''The Priory of Sion'' as said to have been an Organization founded in 1956 by Frenchman Pierre Plantard. He wanted to establish a ''modern'' Chivalric Order, based on those found in The Middle Ages. The organization failed within the year. But Plantard ''stated'' that The Order was actually a modern form of one many Centuries old. Dating to the year 1099 and The City of Jerusalem, ''Sion'' was established by a Knight Templar as an ''off-shoot'' Order. The Sion was tasked in preserving several centuries old Conspiracy Theories. The most popular of which, what that The Holy Bible's central figure – Jesus Christ ''wed'' Follower Mary Magdaline and ''produced'' a Child. This Child would go one to found the bloodline of many ''mystical'' early Medieval Royal Houses of Kings and Queens. And while many of these ''Legends'' can be proved and disproved, the idea would be seized upon by Writer Dan Brown in His ''entertaining'' book ''The DaVinci Code''. Those who disclaim the above as ''literary claptrap'', state The Priory specifically created such ''dis-information'' to hide their very existence.........?
