The Prineville Incident

Another "Mass Sighting", this time by Government Officials, The Case still remains "unexplained" as of today. On September 24. 1959 - a Prineville, Oregon Police Officer was patrolling The City. Suddenly, he saw a "brilliant streak of light", cut across the sky and "burn out". Thinking it a simple Meteor, he though nothing of it - until a "brilliant light" lit up the landscape. Suddenly to the a Officers front, he beheld a "Disc-shaped" Object some 200-feet off the ground. In awe, he watched as the Object moved as a "slow pace" in a Northeast pace towards Redman Airport.

At the Airport, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) - just happened to be operating a Weather Monitoring Station. They (as well as regular Air Traffic Control Radar), began to pick up the Object. So too, did The US Air Force Base nearby. Diverting an already in-flight F-89 Fighter as well as a B-47 Bomber to intercept, (6) F-102 Interceptors were also in route. Pursuing for a short distance, Pilots described the Craft as "Mushroom shaped" with "yellow and Red flames extending from the bottom of the Craft". Within minutes, the Object rose into a cloud cover at a fast rate of climb and speed. After 20-minutes, The Interceptors returned to Base. The Airport reported that the Object "returned" some 25-miles from them. The Object remained hovering for several hours before Radar clocked the Object ascend from 5,000 to 52,000 feet in seconds!
