The Piedmont Incident

Located in Wayne County  - Piedmont, Missouri is truly a quite and rural location. Many woods, Lakes, good Rivers for fishing and apparently just the place to see UFOs! On June 10, 1973 is was a calm and clear night. MANY people were out and about. A bus load of High School Basketball Players and their Coach were returning from a game and traveling down the State Highway. That was when one of the Team saw the Object. Described as a Saucer-shaped Object, it was said to have a glowing blue, Domed top and a series of whitish and yellowish lights rotating on the bottom . The Object was flying at about 400 feet and looked to be about 100 feet in diameter . The Bus stopped and the Team and Coach came out to watch this sight . The Object flew to a field nearby and simply hovered. At this time the under lights of the Craft changed to red and green . After several minutes, it flew up and off. This same Object was reported MANY times by the residents of Piedmont. In some reports, the Object flew very close to Power Lines and flashed light beams at different things on the ground. It was even reported near the Power Company (but they stated that there was no loss Power). Police and Sheriff's were advised. Neither Department show that they responded to any of the calls nor did any Law Enforcement officially report any Officer sighting . A similar Object was also reported several days later over Illinois (US). No official explanation has ever been given.
