An rather inventive take on The Vampire Genre, ''The Night Flier'' was a 1997 Horror Flick, based on a Stephen King short story. However,, many Fans felt ''let down'' by the lack of any ''real ending'' and as such, The Film did NOT do that well. The Plot takes a hard boiled American ''Yellow Journalist'' who specializes in exploitation and exposes Him to a possible Serial Killer, who stalks (only at Night, and only at small Municipal Airports, around The Country). We learn that The Killer (who flies into these desolate airfields), favors a 1930s ''antique'' Aircraft. Later, Our Reporter pushes too hard against the identity of The Pilot, only to find that ''He'' is a genuine Vampire (whose Plane is in essence, a ''flying Coffin''). A unheeded ''warning'' lead The Reporter into an ending which cannot be explained with any sense of Reality. ''The Night Flier'' has it's moments, and is still watchable for hardcore Fans of The Vampire Genre.
