Newby Church was built in the 16th Century and is located in Yorkshire, England. Filled with many original pieces and treasures from The Middle Ages, including a Ghostly one! The photo was taken back in 1963 by then Parish Priest Father Kenneth Lord. Wishing a photo of the impressive Medieval Altar as a souvenir, he was shocked when it wad developed. The image clearly shows a hooded figure with a long (some say "melting" face). A somewhat disturbing photo, the Father could find no records of any Abbey or Monastery nearby or having been installed at Newby. Parishioners often claimed to experience "cold spots" and "feelings of dread" (neither good thing to have in a Church). Although denied, some say the photo led to a real-life Exorcism of the grounds to rid it of any possible "problems". No other issues were ever reported. The photo, negative and camera were later examined. Again, no tampering or trickery could be discovered. Of note, based upon the height of the "thing" in the photo, it was determined to be at least 9 feet tall!
