The Nazca Lines

Located near Nazca, Peru, The so-named ''Nazca Lines'' have generated Centuries of controversy and debate. Some can give conclusive proof of just ''what'' The Lines are and just as many can disprove these theories. The Lines, (as they are called), are a series of gigantic geometric figures and shapes which can only be ''seen'' from several hundred feet in the air. The question proposed is why an Ancient Culture felt it necessary to ''scratch'' out The Figures and Shapes and for what purpose. According to legend, The Shapes were meant to be seen ''by The Gods'' and further were ''used by The Gods''. Used for what The most common theory is that The Nazca Lines were actually a form of ''Alien Spaceport'' or series of ''Landing Strips''. The Area's ''figures'' can be traced to 1,500 years ago and encompass roughly 170-miles. Images of ''Spiders, Peacocks, Deer and series of Lines and Patterns (crisscrossing)'' are also a common carving. These carvings were literally etched deep into the earth (rock and stone), by as of yet unknown (but often heavily theorized method). Ancient legends tell of The ''Gods'' coming ''from The Skies'' on ''Ships of Light'' and using the locations as a kind of Ancient Airport. And while much of these tales are seen as myths and hyperbole, it should be noted that very similar markings can be found in other Ancient World Cultures (Egypt and China for example). Could The Lines be just what they purport Regardless of theory, the question is pressed, just ''how'' the shapes were made and followed during their construction. Even if one used a tower several hundred feet in height, it would be difficult at best to maintain perfect shaping and symmetry. Air Balloons did not exist, nor (obviously) Aircraft. Or perhaps, as some legends state The Artists used ''Floating Platforms'' provided by The Gods.
