An unusual ''tale'' told (and visited) in Yavapai County, Arizona (US), is that of The ''Mystery Christmas Tree''. The story first came to Local and then National Media attention in 1980. Wildfires are a common occurrence in The Region at certain times of the year. These fires are devastating to the scare Desert foliage and animal life. After one particular bad Fire Season, local Fire Companies noticed a very strange sight among the burnt and scorched landscape. A single, free-standing (and quite Green), Pine Tree was seen. This time of Tree is common for Christmas Holiday usage in Homes. But how did it come to be growing in the Desert and more interesting how did it survive the fires

Seen as a Hoax (which is yet to be explained) since 1980 until now, people from far and wide come to Arizona (starting in late November), and begin to decorate The Tree for The Christmas Holidays. Other images are placed as well for ''Good Luck'', such as Flags and Gifts. IT is said to be the same Tree, and it has (supposedly) never been replaced. Some called The Tree ''Scrubby''. Despite The Fire that have raged over the years, ''Scrubby'' is never damaged and never ''dies''.
