The ''Mowing Devil?''

History of full of examples of possible Alien Contact and related phenomenon. As we have discussed, ''Crop Circles'' are one of those events which may have a distinct Extraterrestrial link. Perhaps one of the earliest ''reports'' of a possible Crop Circle was actually reported in the year 1678 AD in Hertfordshire, England. And while, due to the mentality of The Era, the incident was identified as ''Supernatural'' it is quite possible that the ''Mowing Devil'' may have been evidence of a ''Crop Circle''. The Farmer (according to The Tale), refused to pay the rather high price demanded by a Field Worker to cut and Harvest His Crop. Rather, He ''swore'' that ''He'd have The Devil Himself cut The Crops'' rather than fork over the required money. The next morning, so it goes The Farmer's Crops were completely cut in ''strange patterns''. And while Historians of The Subject cite that Crops Circles are not traditionally cut (rather are flattened by an ''unseen force'', the tale is still nonetheless odd. It received so much attention, that The Tale made it into The Newspapers of the time to include a rather fanciful illustration.
