This Legend originated with The Native American Shawnee, The ''Monster of The Land Between The Lakes'' dates back as far as the early 18th Century. The Tale was told to European Explorers and Colonists and The Monster would become a permanent part of Kentucky (America) History. The Land Between The Lakes is located in Northwestern Kentucky, and is a very popular Natural resource, visited by thousands from around The State and The Country yearly. Although ''seen'' as an Island, the geography is in reality an extension of heavily wooded land, which formed thousands of generations ago. It is into this ''dark region'', The Legend was born. Native Americans say that a ''large, half-Man/half-Wolf-Like Creature'', with ''glowing eyes and great (almost supernatural) speed''. Credited with MANY death of Hunters and such, most Modern photographic evidence is both out of focus and debated. The most bizarre story, involves a Groups of College Students on a Botanical Expedition if 1973. ''Something'' invaded Their campsite at night and ''shredded Their tents, growling and howling in an inhuman tone''. The Students escaped unharmed. Local Police investigated and found Their camp totally destroyed. Their conclusions?......''It Must Have Been a Wild Boar''..........
