Lake Tota is located in Colombia, South America and is reputedly the ''home'' of a Lake Monster known locally as ''Diablo Ballena'' (or ''White Devil''). First reported by Spanish Explorers in 1676, The Monster is said to be part-fish and part-ox (as quite large). Said to be a Guardian of The Lake, numerous Expeditions have been led to determine the ''truth'' behind the ''Legend''. The Lake is believed to be 200-feet deep and while most investigations were in the 1850s and 1880s (when technology was non-existence to conduct such), no major Expeditions have been conducted in the 20th Century. Modern sightings are sparse, but still known.
