Like The Medieval ''relic'' known as ''The Hand of Glory'', a ''Monkey's Paw'' is an supposed ''Charm'', by which the Human Owner of the gruesome artifact can procure Wishes for fortune and love. However, more often – it brings ''what One wishes'' but with an often unwanted ''twist''. The ''Legend'' is based on WW Jacobs 1902 called ''The Monkey's Paw'' (often attributed to EA Poe). In Jacob's Tale, a Traveler procures the artifact from a Middle Eastern ''Broker'' with not only it's ''abilities'' but it's ''curse''. As is predictable, all matter of mishap happens to include, the resurrection of a long dead relative (sorely missed Son), who returns visa vie ''undead corpse''. Although only a story, many people over the years have sought out a preserved Primates' appendage for a similar purpose. The collecting of such was somewhat popular in the early 19th Century. Obviously, a ''fad'', One has to admit that no ''wishes'' could derive from such a Curio – or could it?
