Minot Air Force Base (North Dakota) was Home to the 91st Strategic Missile Wing. Attached to NORAD (North American Radar Defense). On the evening of March 5, 1967 - The Base went on "Full Alert" Due to an impending attack. At first, a Reader would assume that Nuclear War was imminent (especially for the late 1960s). If it weren't for the fact that the story was real and the enemy was a UFO. On March 3, 1967 Base Radar began picking up an Unidentified Flying Object, bearing down on the installation in excess of 1,000 mph. On "Full Alert", a Base Security Forces were standing by. Had it been a Nuclear Attack This was improbable as NORAD as well as National Command Authorities would have ordered the Base into "Launcher Mode".

Suddenly, a "bright, glowing Metallic Disc" appeared roughly 150 feet over a Silo Hatch. The Security Forces were on awe. The Object had a series of "rotating glowing lights" around it's perimeter. Within seconds, the Craft sped off towards the center of the installation. By this time NORAD had dispatched a flight of F-106 Interceptors to attack. The Object did nothing but hover. Within seconds of intercept, the Craft ascended at an incredible speed. NORAD monitored the Craft as it "left" Earth orbit. Much of this tale was classified until the 1980s, when, although heavily redacted, it became available. Certain retired Service members came forward as well. Faced with such Press, The Government finally came forward and said the incident was all part of an elaborate "Training" Exercise.
