One of the first real civilian photos taken of an alleged UFO was a black & white image taken by Farmer Evelyn Trent on May 11, 1950. - at McMinnville, Oregon (US) While outside doing her chores, Mrs. Trent noticed a slow moving, metallic disk-shaped object heading toward the Farm from The Northeast. After watching the object for several minutes, she decided to retrieve her camera and took several photos. These photos have been examined many times over the decades and subjected to Modern photographic analysis. They have been repeatedly deemed genuine . LIFE Magazine published the photos (giving Mrs. Trent some level of Celebrity). Strangely. The negatives were lost by LIFE. Recovered in 1967, The Trent's had to sue over the return of their property (the negatives). After a lengthy Court Trial, the negatives were returned to The Trent Family.
