The Many Haunts of Jim Morrison

 Jim Morrison. Leadman of the Rock Band ''The Doors''. Perhaps more of an iconic figure of the turbulent and constantly ''changing 1960s'' as any other. His ''Life'' was as much ''Counter-Culture Legend'' as was His death. Between 1965 and 1971, Morrison and His Group held ''sway in The Court of Rock-n-Roll. His talents would be cut short by His death in 1971, the result of an excess of drugs and alcohol. Having traveled to France, it was there that He overdosed on Heroin – and was eventually buried in the famed Pere Lachaise Cemetery (''Home'' to France's and The World's most celebrated Artists, Writers and Renown). Such a location would suit the often ''dark'' Morrison (who saw Himself more of a Poet than ''Rockstar''). His Grave became a kind of ''Mecca'' for Fans from all over The World. As is tradition (and much to the chagrin of Authorities), are known for ''partying at The Grave''. But perhaps Jim likes the idea, because it is said He may still be quite ''active''.....or ''some part'' of Him. The most infamous of The Paranormal Cases that involve Morrison, comes from a 1997 photograph taken by Journalist Brett Meisner. Working on a book on Morrison, He posed for a photo near the famed Grave. Once taken, He would not view it for several days. When He was able to review His photos, Meisner ''saw'' what appeared to be the ''image of a Man, wearing jeans and a White Shirt''. The ''Man'' struck a pose popular with Morrison who like to ''imitate Christ on The Cross'' (owing to His ''belief'' that He was a ''Rock God''). The image was standing in the entrance to an adjacent Crypt (to Morrison's Grave). Almost instantly, The World cited foul. The photo was claimed to easily be a piece of ''trick photography''. But Meisner had the camera examined (as was the film), Both were found free of tampering. Still, a ''clever trick to sell books?'' or possible proof of Jim still ''celebrating His ''death'' very much the way He celebrated His Life?

Meanwhile, on the ''other side'' of The World, in West Hollywood, California (US) – is The ''Restaurante Y Barra'', a popular local Mexican Food concern. But in the late 1960s, it was the site of a small recording Studio that – (you guessed it), Morrison and The Doors often used to ''lay Tracks'' for their Music. Morrison spent much time there. Torn down in the mid-1970s, the site became the location of the present business. The Owner states that Morrison is ''still around'' (or at least His ''presence'' is). Strange Paranormal activities such as toilets in the bathroom flushing on tbeir own, or faucets turning ''on and off''- are common. Lights ''activate'' when no one is inside the Restaurant and dishes and glasses that ''fall from perfectly flat tables'' are also a ''daily feature, it is reported. Some Employees have even stated that on ''occasion'', a ''shadowy figure, of a young Man with brown Hair, can be seen either seated at a back booth or ''wandering in the back storage room. So concerned, The Owner even brought in a Medium (Psychic), to ''cleanse'' His Restaurant. The Medium stated that She ''felt'' that there was a ''Male Presense'' in the Business who seemed ''lost''. And while She never identified the Presence as ''Morrison'', One no doubt still wonders. After the supposed ''cleansing'' the ''activities'' lessened, but have still NOT completely ''died''.
