The Maldonaldo Photograph

Another classic UFO photograph that has been published MANY times, is the 1952 Puerto Maldonaldo snap shot. Taken on July 19 (of that year), Maldonaldo was a Customs Inspector for The Peruvian Government. Driving on a road near Bolivia, he saw what appears to be a VERY large Cigar-shaped Object literally streak across the sky before him. The Craft emitted a contrail of smoke. Maldonaldo said, he could hear a loud, almost rocket engine sound coming for many minutes PRIOR to the sighting. He had his Government camera on the seat in front of him. Thinking a plane was about to crash, he readied himself to take any photographic evidence that might aid in the recovery and later investigation. When he finally saw the Object - he knew that it was unlike any plane he had seen before. The Object further, did not appear to be close to crashing and appeared to be under control . Maldonaldo speculated the Object was around 100-feet long and had a solid composition. He saw no signs of wings or stabilizers on it. He stated it was silvery in color . When the Object passed over a nearby small Lake, he could make out it's reflection . The Craft continued in an East-West flight path. The photo has been examined MANY times over the years. No one has yet to determine it to be faked.
