A truly bizarre Tale, The ‘’L’Inconnue De La Seine’’ (or more appropriately – ‘’The Unknown Woman of The Seine River’’, is a Murder Case from 1880s France. Police removed a Woman’s body from The Seine River. She bore no obviously signs of violence and it was thought She was nothing more than a suicide case. But despite many attempts to identify the Woman (by making a drawing of the Victims face and publishing it), no One ever came forward to identify Her. Rather ‘’beautiful’’, Her image would become a piece of ‘’vogue fashion’’ for Paris’ community of ‘’radical’’ Artists, Writers and other ‘’free thinkers’’. The image is easily seen as an early example of ‘’Pop Culture’’ (inn a macabre way). But he most unusual fact about The Unknown Woman? Was that She was smiling at Her demise. Perhaps early rigor mortis? Even this generated (then) many theories and ‘’Urban Legends’’. But perhaps, the ‘’smile’’ is a forecast of what would ultimately happen to The Unknown Woman. In fact, it is rather comical to learn. What Healthcare or First Responder has NOT learned the life saving technique know throughout The World as ‘’Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation’’ (CPR)? The primary training tool is a half mannequin (made of plastic), in which Practitioners learn how to ‘’breath’’ for a Victim and to maintain Heart movement and blood flow (manually), until more advanced techniques can be applied. The human ‘’face’’ so applied to every ‘’Doll’’, known internationally as ‘’Resusci-Anne’’? Why none other that The ‘’Unknown Woman of The Seine’’.
