Also known as (in Mallory's ''Le Morte'') as ''The Castle of Maidens'', was a mythical abode of The Celtic Otherworld. Mentioned in various early Medieval Fables and Stories, The ''Land'' was inhabited by ''Beautiful Virginal Women''. Much is debated as to IF these ''Beings'' were in reality Spirits in the guise of Females. In Mallory's version, The ''Land'' becomes a Castle visited by several Questing Knights in search of The Holy Grail. The Castle and it's Maidens were working with Morgan Le Fey, to ''ensnare'' and ''confuse with delights'' – wayward Knights. ''Feminine Charms'' being the obvious ''bait'', much like Odysseus from Homer's ''Odyssey'' (The Isle of The Witch Circe), Knights quickly ''forgot their true Mission''. In another version, it was The ''Maidens'' who conveyed a mortally wounded King Arthur from the fields of Cammlann, to His ''Eternal Reward''.
