Brims Castle is a ruined (and by reports quite dangerous) Late Medieval structure located in Brims Ness (close to Pentland Firth), Scotland. It dates to roughly 1620 AD, and was occupied by The Sinclair Clan. Built on an out-cropping of rock, it is Classed as a Promontory Castle. Turreted, it had several interior and exterior support structures. It may have supported up to (5) living quarters. Much of it's flooring has long since decayed away. It's somewhat foreboding nature is linked to local tales of a ghastly murder that happened their in the 18th Century AD. Apparently, the former Sinclair Laird fell in love with a Commoner. He made promises of elevating Her and Her Family as a means of ''securing'' Her ''charms''. After a period of time, The Laird grew tired and wished Her to leave. When She refused, it is said He murdered Her and buried Her ''somewhere'' within Brims walls. It is unclear if any paranormal activities caused The Sinclair's to abandon their Ancestral Home, but by the 19th Century, it was empty with NO Sinclair even interested in ''claiming'' the property. Locals state that a ghostly ''woman in white'' can be seen wandering the grounds of Brims- ''moaning and lamenting Her earthly choice of marriage to such a Man''.
