The Knights of Allesberg

According to Swedish Legend, The Battle of Allesberg was an internal Power struggle that was fought in 1389. 12 brave Knights (whose Military Order is unknown), were killed in the battle. As a result of the loss, so too was The Town of Allesberg. According to legend, the distressed Ghosts of The 12 Knights were trapped inside The Alleberg Mountain nearby. They sleep until Sweden is again attacked, so they can rise and reclaim their lost honor of having fallen in battle too early. So believed, this Legend gave rise to the erection of a massive statue dedicated to The Allesberg Knights. The Statue is facing The Mountain, as if waiting ..
