The Kilimanjaro Sighting

One of the first modern African UFO sightings, this Visitor was seen (and photographed) by Pilots of East African Airways on February 19, 1951. The Flight had left Nairobi and was flying near the iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Operating at around 10,000 feet, the Co-Pilot first noticed a long cylindrical object slowing flying near their aircraft. The time was about 7:20 A.M. Estimated at about 200 feet long, the Passengers of the Flight also saw the strange Object. Radioing the contact to Air Control (who had not reading), the detail of the Object was so great (due to the clarity of the airspace) that in both Pilot's reports, such details as striping and riveting was also described. After about 15-minutes, the massive Craft rocketed to about 40,000 feet (estimated) and flew out into space . The photography has been repeatedly examined. It is not a fake. However, it should be noted that MOST copies were taken by Government sources (even the Passengers).
