The Kecksburg Incident

At 4:43 P.M. - a fireball was seen streaking over the skies of the small Town of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania. Unlike a Meteor, the Object had a distinctive Acorn-Nut shape (which could be clearly seen). People reported the Object emitted a plume of smoke and fire all the way down. A loud thump could be heard throughout the area (similar to a bomb exploding). The Object apparently had crashed in the woods East of Town. The State Police were notified and responded. They reported finding a Bell-like Craft, that had crashed through the forest. Many hundreds of trees were felled and a long burnt trail was found. The Object had no heat emitting from it. Closer examination revealed the lower portion of the Bell had strange and unknown pictures and writing carved into it . BY this time many local Citizens had arrived and the Police had a hard time maintaining security. After several hours however, dozens of Military vehicle began to arrive (although The State Police claimed that they had not yet notified them). Armed soldiers pushed out the Police and Citizens.

A cordon was established around the Object. Later that morning, a large flatbed truck and Military Crane arrived. The Object was picked up and strapped down. A simple cloth tarpe was thrown over it. The Military and the object simply drove off. Despite multiple attempt by local Authorities to determine what it was and where it had been taken - would go unanswered. As the years went by however, Kecksburg gained a type of fame similar to Roswell, New Mexico (often considered the 2nd Most visited UFO Spot in The US). Even a full-sized statue of the Object was built (down to the strange lettering), was constructed and place in front of The Kecksburg Fire Department. Years later, The Government cited a Top Secret Project was recovered nothing more.
