From Bordeaux, France and the year 1612 AD – came a Tale found in a ''Manual'' dedicated to The Occult. Such books, while heretical – were quite common. Among the stories of Demons and Vampires, was one of John Grenier. The 13-years boy was reportedly captured, tried and convicted of being a ''Werewolf''. He was described as threatening to eat people He disliked or those cruel to Him. He was an orphan, with no one to care for Him. Further He lived as a ''Wild Boy'' in the woods. But Grenier's physical appearance was even more disturbing than His behavior. Said to have ''matted and long hair, as a animal'', His ''eyes were a queer shade of yellow''. His nails were ''blackened and sharp, very much as a wild dog''. Even more disturbing, Grenier had overly ''long canine teeth'' (far longer than a regular Human). These were fitted into a ''lower jaw which protruded outward''. In short, Grenier looked for all intents and purposes ''like a Wolf''.
Grenier had also been reported hunters, as being seen ''on all fours, using His mouth to rip and tear raw flesh from the carcass of a recently killed Stag''. And then The Case ''went South''. A young girl from the Village disappeared when in the woods gathering flowers. She was found later, ''completely torn up and partially eaten''. Rather than assume it was a wild animal – a Mob went searching for Grenier. Found, He was taken before a Magistrate and ''eagerly confessed to not only killing the girl, but of consuming Her as well.'' But The Magistrate did not entirely believe that Grenier was in fact a ''Werewolf'' (as The Townspeople were calling Him). Rather than executing Him, He sent Grenier under Guard to be looked after by a Monastery in The North of France.
Grenier was said to have ''calmed down'' greatly and while His appearance was ''greatly improved'', He still sported His overly large ''fangs''. The Judge who received the report from The Monks went to visit Grenier. He met with Him and Grenier seemed to be rather sorrowful for His past heinous acts. But when the Judge contemplated releasing the reformed Grenier – He uttered with an animalistic snare ''He could not wait to get back to The Kill''. The Judge ordered The Brothers lock Him away in a Cell – forever. This was not very long, for Grenier ''mysterious'' died within the week. Or at least this was what was written in the 1612 Manual..............
