On November 17, 1986 the Passengers of Japan Airlines Flight 1628 got more of a vacation than any of them bargained for. The Commercial Passenger Airliner was enroute from Japan to Paris and was passing over Alaska (US). At around 5 P.M. - the Crew noticed what appeared to be 3 large Saucer-shaped Objects rising up from BELOW the aircraft. The Crew said they saw an array of lights and what appeared to be thrusters . A low glow was also reported. One of the Discs came so close to the aircraft that many thought it was going to crash into them. The Pilot also stated that he could feel heat through his Cockpit window. The JAL plane requested verification of the contact and a course correction with Air Control. Controllers could only verify the aircraft. Still, Controllers alerted The US Air Force (who launched an Intercept Flight). Within 15-minutes of their contact with JAL 1628, the 3 Objects just flew off and away. The Interceptors stated that they saw nothing . Diverted to California (US), the Pilot filed the appropriate reports. Passengers as well verified the Crew's story. No official explanation was ever given as to what the contact was (or wasn't). The JAL Pilot soon retired and will NOT speak on the incident!
